Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Hummingbird EC Acoustic-Electric Guitar-Natural
Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Hummingbird Deluxe EC Acoustic-Electric Guitar-Natural. This guitar is in excellent condition with no gouges, dings, and has virtually zero play wear. It does have "used" gently stamped on the back of the headstock. The action is nice and low and it plays and sounds great! Does not come with case.
The unmistakable Hummingbird™, in a new Deluxe cutaway version, has joined the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom lineup. These beautiful acoustic guitars have been designed and configured by Epiphone in partnership with the Gibson Custom acoustic guitar team in Bozeman, Montana. The Hummingbird Deluxe EC has been upgraded and modernized with beautiful, solid rosewood used for the back and sides, giving this guitar the full and rich sound of the traditional Hummingbird, along with the added tonal nuances of rosewood, resulting in a deeper bass and even more sparkling overtones in the highs. The Hummingbird Deluxe EC’s cutaway body provides easier access to the upper frets, making this an excellent choice for lead guitarists and others who want to explore the entire range of the fretboard. The rosewood back and sides are paired with a thermally aged solid spruce top, resulting in a pre-aged tone that is louder and more resonant than that of a non-thermally aged top. It’s like getting the benefits of many years of wood aging and seasoning in a brand-new guitar. The top is reinforced with traditional scalloped X-bracing, which is made from quartersawn, solid spruce.
The Hummingbird Deluxe EC also features a one-piece mahogany neck with a Rounded C profile. The neck is glued in using a dovetail joint. It is topped with an ebony fretboard that is equipped with 20 standard frets and adorned with classy-looking mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. The Hummingbird Deluxe EC’s body has 6-ply binding on the top and 4-ply binding on the back. There is also single-ply binding on the fretboard and headstock, which further adds to the guitar’s premium aesthetic, along with gold hardware, including smooth and precise Grover® Rotomatic® tuners that are installed on the Gibson “open book” headstock and the three-band rosette’s abalone-inlaid center band. The headstock also has the Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown inlaid in mother-of-pearl. The pickguard is made using an acrylic-celluloid sandwich and features the instantly identifiable Hummingbird graphics etched in gold. The nut, compensated saddle, and bridge pins are all made from bone, while the reverse belly ebony bridge is from Gibson.
